Update on Pastoral Call of Jeff (Ffej) Stephenson

On Sunday, November 3, 2024, the Board of Trustees held the Annual Meeting of the Congregation. During this annual fall meeting, one of the tasks included voting on the budget for the following year. The 2025 budget, which was discussed, voted on and passed by the Congregation, includes a provision that allows the finances needed to offer Jeff (Ffej) Stephenson a contract Associate Pastor position.

A special Meeting of the Congregation will be held on December 1 at 12:30 PM so that the voting Members of the congregation have the opportunity to officially vote Pastor Ffej into this position. Just as in all congregation-wide meetings, all are welcome to attend, but only voting Members may vote.

Per the GSLC Constitution (C5.03,) voting members are those members who:
a. are at least sixteen (16) years of age and are received or confirmed, and
b. profess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and
c. are baptized in the Christian faith, and
d. attend Good Shepherd Lutheran Church regularly, and
e. give proportionally, and
f. appear on the Congregational Roll, and
g. declare themselves a Member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church

Pastor Ffej Ordination Service
Pending a successful vote on December 1 (see above), an Ordination Service has been tentatively scheduled for the afternoon of January 12. Please save the date and come celebrate with Good Shepherd.
