WEDNESDAY NIGHTS
The Gospel of Mark Bible Study is a deep, intense, and detailed verse by verse Bible Study. We are currently meeting in the sanctuary on Wednesday evenings at 7pm and everyone is welcome. Our purpose is to fully investigate the gospel as potential disciples of Jesus Christ. We will look at multiple explanations of the original language and explore a variety of texts. I will provide information from a wide variety of recent and ancient commentaries. And most importantly we provide lots of time and opportunity for any questions that arise. As we sit at the master’s feet and ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom and insight, we hope to have a more personal, mature, powerful, and productive relationship with Jesus Christ as His disciples and friends as a result of spending this time together with Him.
EXPLORER'S BIBLE STUDY
Explorer’s Bible Study has been a held at Good Shepherd for nearly thirty years. We meet every Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 11:30 AM with a break for the Christmas Holiday. This is an in-depth Bible study, that is written and planned to bring people to a closer walk with God. I can promise you that you will learn something new from this year’s study.
BAGELS, BIBLE STUDY & BROTHERHOOD
The men’s group, Bagels, Bible Study & Brotherhood, meets from 9-10 AM on Saturdays in the House of Prayer at Good Shepherd. We do take one Saturday out of the month to volunteer with our church’s Utah Food Bank Distribution.
We are presently studying the book of Proverbs. We are utilizing “God’s Word for Today”, from Concordia Publishing House. For more information, contact the church officexq
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Every Sunday morning at 9:30 AM kids of all ages are invited to meet in The Quad (located downstairs) for a fun Children’s Church program with Bible Study, fun activities, and crafts. For more information on any of the Children’s Church actitivites please contact Jolyn in the church office.
YOUTH BIBLE STUDY & CONFIRMATION
Junior and Senior High youth are invited to join us Sunday morning at 9:30 AM for a Youth Bible Study in The Trench or for Confirmation in Room 11. Confirmation is a 2 year class designed to prepare junior high students for the opportunity to affirm their baptism. Students not involved with confirmation are invited to join the Youth Bible Study which currently is focused on a journey through the Old Testament.
The first Sunday of the month is Worship Service Sunday and all students are encouraged to attend the worship service in the sanctuary. Confirmation and Youth Bible Study do not meet on the first Sunday to allow for time in the worship service for our youth.
YOUTH GROUP
Every Wednesday night the Junior and Senior High youth of Good Shepherd and their friends are invited to join us for COMMUNITY Youth Group. Students gather in The Trench (located downstairs) for an evening of small group Bible study, games, worship and some great fellowship. Various service projects and offsite events are scheduled throughout the year. For more information contact the church office.
