GO and Make Disciples...
Dinner at Vinny’s has been a staple of the Good Shepherd Care Ministry for many years. Every third Sunday of the month Good Shepherd provides sandwiches and fruit to serve our downtown homeless community.
Sandwiches and fruit will be collected at GSLC from 8 AM to 12:30 PM every third Sunday of the month and taken to Catholic Community Services. If you can make two loaves of sandwiches or provide fruit, you will be helping some of our most vulnerable people.
Want to help serve Sunday dinner to the homeless? You’ll arrive at Catholic Community Services (437 West 200 South) at 4:30 pm and be done around 6:30 pm.
Good Shepherd has partnered with the Utah Food Bank and is hosting their Mobile Food Pantry program. Details on the Utah Food Bank’s Mobile Pantry program can be found on their website (utahfoodbank.org).
On Saturday morning the event will be hosted in the Good Shepherd parking lot and food will be provided to the first 150 families. Food is provided in a drive thru format free of charge. The event will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 AM or until the food is all distributed. Check out the EVENTS page for upcoming dates
Join us in spreading kindness and nourishment to our community! Our Daily Bread Pick-Up Ministry collects surplus bread from Kneaders Bakery, ensuring that no loaf goes to waste. Volunteers are needed to help pick up and distribute fresh bread to those in need.
Get involved today! Every volunteer makes a difference. Together, we can share the gift of bread and the love of Christ within our community.
Sign up today by contacting the church office.! Let’s rise to the occasion and feed our neighbors with love!
